 Kyiv Podilskyi district state administration has ruled out the possibility of building-up on Zamkova Hill if an investor is attracted for the reconstruction of the park located on the mount, chairman of the district state administration Yevhen Romanenko told this to the press.
He said that the district state administration has held public hearings to inform the city residents about the provisions of the Kyiv city state administration's resolution on attraction of investors for the reconstruction of parks, including one on Zamkova Hill.
However, he said that the municipal enterprise responsible for maintenance of green areas in Podilskyi district has not obtained the consent of possible investors after relevant negotiations.
Romanenko said that the reason of investors' unwillingness to finance parks' reconstruction in Kyiv is the financial crisis.
He also said that if no investors are found, the city and the district will decide to reconstruct the park at the expense of the city budget funds.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in January the Kyiv city state administration decided to attract investors for the reconstruction of 14 parks on the territory of the city, including the park on Zamkova Hill.
In 2007, the Kyiv city state administration has offered the patrons to reconstruct and maintain parks and squares on the territory of the city. http://www.kyivpost.com/
